Battle Maps

Generate a battle map you can reproduce and share

Create a procedural dungeon, cave, or forest in a hand drawn style. The seed and selected settings determine the layout. A copied link stores the full state, including size, active biome settings, display options, and dungeon or cave labels.

How to use it

Choose a biome, width from 10 to 60 squares, and height from 10 to 40. Enter a seed or reroll it, then adjust the biome controls. Toggle the grid and boxed key. Dungeon and cave regions can be numbered and given labels up to 40 characters. Choose Copy link to share the state.

Example

Select Dungeon, set 30 by 20, enter ember-crypt-42, leave density at 50, choose Connected, and keep the grid on. Number two rooms, label one Entrance, then copy the link.

Export and limits

Export the map or sheet as PNG at 30 to 140 pixels per square. Dungeon rooms can include furniture props. Maps do not include creatures, traps, lighting, VTT walls, or adventure text. Labels apply to dungeons and caves. Save a PNG for durable records because unsupported future permalink versions can fall back to defaults.
